My own personal health and well-being interests started as a young teenager. I suffered from severe chronic back, knee and neck pain that brought my dream of becoming a dance teacher to an end. Chiropractic, massage therapy, physical therapy, meditation and nutritional supplements quickly became key components in my healing journey. Years of my own personal experiences and empathy for others inspired my career in massage therapy.

 

After growing up and starting my family in Sussex, WI, I moved to Lockport, IL in 2004. This is where my massage career began, working independently and also for three doctors of chiropractic, one of which specialized in kinesiology and sports medicine. Through integrative care our team was able to provide preventative and rehabilitative therapy, including my clinical massage techniques through customized therapy plans. Committed to advancing my knowledge of orthopedic conditions, I began studying my own soft tissue dysfunctions leading to my passion of specializing in Clinical Orthopedic Massage Therapy. The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) has partnered with the Academy of Clinical Massage to launch the massage profession’s first orthopedic and clinical rehabilitative massage specialty certificate program which is where I do my orthopedic studies.

 

As a 2010 Graduate of Cortiva Institute - Chicago, I earned Academic Excellence and was the recipient of the 2009 Cortiva-Woodridge Founder’s Scholarship. I have a strong foundation of Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathology. I am competent in advanced therapeutic massage techniques and have numerous certifications in bodywork and supporting modalities.

• Certified in Gua Sha

• YTT200 Certified Yoga Instructor.

• Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Certified

• Certified Posture Expert through the American Posture Institute

• Former ACE Certified Personal Trainer with a specialty in Orthopedic Exercise

• Reiki Practitioner and Energy Healing

In August 2014 I moved back to WI, settling in Kewaskum. In my free time I enjoy building my business, exploring my personal spiritual journey, and working on Halloween displays and custom Halloween prop projects.
