Classes Starting in October

Yoga Flow (Vinyasa) - Monday & Thursday weekly, 2nd & 4th Saturday of month

This is a gentle to moderate Vinyasa (flow) class with a compassionate approach.  We move slowly and mindfully from posture to posture connecting breath with movement.  Class begins with Pranayama (breathing) exercises and gentle stretches followed by asana (physical postures/vinyasa flow) and ending with Savasana (relaxation). Emphasis is on connecting breath, body, mind and spirit and allowing your practice to overflow from the mat into your daily life. All levels welcome, beginner to experienced, modifications will be offered as needed.

Benefits of a yoga practice can include increased flexibility, strength, mental clarity, self acceptance and decreased stress and relief from anxiety or depression.

Restorative Yoga for Stress Relief/Relaxation - 2nd & 4th Saturday of month

Appropriate for all levels, this class is about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. We will use props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks to allow the body to be in the most comfortable, relaxed, supported positions using as little physical effort as possible, for longer periods of time. We’ll focus on breath to cultivate mindfulness and release tension while in the postures.

Restorative yoga is considered to be beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, insomnia, or headaches, as well as other stress-related conditions. It’s also believed to boost the immune system and accelerate the body’s natural healing process.

Morning Stretch (Yin Yoga) - Friday 6-week session

You’ll find your edge in this class where our intention is to target both the deep connective tissue (fascia) between the muscles throughout the body, and increase circulation in the joints to improve flexibility. It also helps us to regulate the body’s flow of energy.
