Medical/Rehabilitation Massage

Being in an auto accident, being injured, or having surgery can be a traumatic experience. In addition to physical pain, a lot of patients also experience emotional trauma. Some of our clients report a sense of hopelessness, anger, and become frustrated with the slow recovery process. When a client starts to feel the benefits of their treatments it can give them a fresh outlook on their progress.

Massage offers wonderful benefits during recovery. We provide a gentle, natural, and healing approach to the rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries.

How massage enhances the healing process:

  • Reduces pain; A massage helps with pain and inflammation.

  • Improve circulation to promote healing; Massage maximizes the supply of nutrients and oxygen through increased blood flow, which helps the body rebuild itself.

  • Reduce scar tissue; Massage influences the excretion of certain fluids necessary for tissue repair.

  • Improve range of motion and muscle flexibility; By stretching connective tissue, massage improves circulation to help prevent or break down adhesions.

  • Shorten recovery time; Massage increases blood and lymph fluid flow, thereby speeding the healing process.

  • Psychological benefits; Having a mind that is relaxed and focused can be an advantage in any recovery process.
